Troubleshoot AI Workers
Fix common worker setup, access, and run problems.
Start with the message on the worker or assignment page. Check the specific failure before starting another assignment.
The assignment field is disabled
Open Edit > Advanced settings and check Availability. The composer requires Ready for assignments. If it says file assignments are not enabled for the workspace, contact your workspace owner or support about availability.
Also check AI access, the active workspace, and your role permissions.
A file cannot be attached
Use a supported file type and follow the size or file-count message shown by the uploader. Remove files the assignment does not need. Confirm uploads finish before leaving the page.
The worker cannot find a record
Open the record yourself in the same workspace. Check your permissions, the worker's Tools & access, and any individual tool restrictions. Include the record name, date range, and desired output in the brief.
Work failed or stopped
Open the assignment in Work and inspect its error and Activity. Review any completed changes before using Retry with changes. That button opens the conversation so you can correct the brief before another attempt.
For older task-linked runs, inspect the worker's Runs section and linked task.
Accept work is unavailable
The result must be Ready for review. Resolve each pending workspace change with Approve change or Reject first. Accepting the assignment does not automatically approve actions.
A completed result needs correction
Use Request changes and describe the required revision in the conversation. Editing the worker's general instructions does not rewrite an existing deliverable.
Information for support
Include the assignment URL, worker name, error, approximate time, and whether it failed while starting, generating files, or executing an approved change. Do not include credentials or unrelated private files.
