Sales, Product, and Tax Reports

Understand current sales-report limits and the records included in Tax Summary.

The Finance report menu includes Sales Summary, Product Performance, and Tax Summary. These reports have different availability and source data.

Sales Summary and Product Performance

These two report views currently return empty datasets. Their zero totals do not establish that the workspace has no sales or product activity. Review the source orders and finance records instead of using these views for revenue or units-sold decisions.

Tax Summary

Open Reports > Finance > Tax Summary and set a date range and currency.

  • Invoice tax comes from positive line-item tax amounts on invoices currently marked Paid, selected by invoice issue date.
  • Expense tax comes from positive tax amounts on expense records, selected by expense date.
  • Rows group the amounts by their stored tax label or rate. Deleted invoices and expenses are excluded.

The expense side does not check that an expense was paid or approved. The report's labels should therefore be read alongside the source record status.

Choose one currency. An unfiltered total combines stored amounts without currency conversion. Use the report to review recorded tax; confirm the final treatment through your accounting process.

Troubleshooting

For an unexpected tax amount, check the source invoice status, issue date, line-item tax, expense date, and currency. Sales Summary and Product Performance remaining empty is a current reporting limitation, not a reason to recreate orders.
