Clean Up Product Categories And Tags
Keep service categories and tags clear and consistent.
Review Services > Categories and Services > Tags when duplicate or unclear labels make the service list hard to use.
Clean Up Labels
- Identify labels with the same meaning.
- Choose one clear name for each group.
- Update affected services on their Details tab and save.
- Rename, deactivate, or delete obsolete labels as appropriate.
- Reopen saved service views to check the results.
A category is a service's primary group; tags can overlap. Prefer a few stable categories and specific tags. Review assignments before deleting labels so you do not lose useful organization.
This cleanup does not change existing invoice or estimate line items. Review customer documents separately when service names or descriptions also change.
